A hackathon is an event where you team up to create, experiment and showcase projects such as web apps or hardware, all within the set-timeframe. The projects are then judged based on creativity, functionality and skill involved.

The Hackathon will be held in the Science Concourse.

The FinTech Hackathon is completely free to attend. We will provide the space, WiFi, meals, snacks, and goodies. To attend, simply fill in the registration form through the link provided.

Leave your meals, snacks, and drinks to us: we will be providing lunch and dinner on Saturday, and lunch on Sunday as well as supplementary drinks and snacks throughout.

If you do wish to bring in your own food, please avoid products containing nuts for allergy reasons.

For dietary requirements, please outline your specific needs on your registration form on the SU.

Yes, however we welcome students from all degree backgrounds to attend. Regardless of whether you are an experienced hacker or this is your first hackathon, it is a great opportunity to learn and gain new experiences!

Not necessarily, you can still take on roles within your team which do not require technical skills. These may include brainstorming ideas, designing interfaces, or organising and presenting your work.

All those attending will need a valid student ID and a form of government ID. You will also need to bring a laptop and charger.

Collaborative spaces are available 24/7 on floors 1 & 2 at The University of Warwick Library, Gibbet Hill Road, Coventry, CV4 7AL, England.
